Clinical Record

The shift to ambulatory care initiated by institutions in the health and social services network emphasizes the needs for effective coordination of public healthcare services as well as the necessity to access and share clinical patient data.

Caretools is the solution offered by Logibec to meet the needs of clinicians for a clinical record that is powerful, user-friendly and adapted to the care continuum.

Caretools allows you to access, view and update patient records using intelligent forms.

Care Management

The Care Management module allows you to create and customize individualized care plans and clinical paths.

You can also plan, perform and document interventions through a direct link with the care provider schedules.

Clinical Document Base

The Clinical Document Base module allows care providers to view, update or modify the various clinical documents associated with the clinical record, such as assessments, orders, observation notes, progress notes, consents, etc. This module provides access to decision-making tools such as RxVigilance.

Order Entry and Results Management

The Order Entry and Results Management module allows you to enter and dispatch orders, receive results and scanned documents from laboratories, medical imaging and other sources.

Consent Management

The Consent Management module allows you to manage the application of the confidentiality rules enforced by Quebec’s Access to Information Commission (Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec) concerning the protection of patients’ personal information.

Data Development

The Data Development module allows you to query clinical data.

  • Optimized querying through a standardized clinical data dictionary
  • Supports Impromptu, a query tool developed by Cognos

Knowledge Bank

The Knowledge Bank module allows you to quickly enter and view available standardized knowledge as well as knowledge developed by users.

It includes medical knowledge based on current practice as well as classification systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9.

HL7/XML Interface Engine

The interface engine is based on the HL7 standard and supports the following transaction modes:

  • One-way (receive or send mode)
  • Two-way (receive and send modes)

The interface engine manages transactions by sending or receiving the data of created, modified or deleted patient records, admissions, discharges, transfers and most pertinent events associated with the patient record and supported by the software.

The interface engine also supports a customized interface mode for linking with applications that do not support the HL7 standard. In this case, the HL7 messages are converted to the format required by the application.

Forms Manager

The Forms Manager module is a flexible tool for designing intelligent forms. It offers a set of graphic objects that allow you to faithfully reproduce standardized forms as well as the institution’s specific forms. It integrates tools that allow you to associate business rules and clinical rules with documents.

Forms Library

Logibec offers a library of forms that have already been developed for several knowledge domains and have been validated in a clinical environment. This clinical content originates from partnerships in the industry and Logibec’s team of professionals.
